Independent jewellery makers Jennifer, Lisa & Nicole share The Burnish Works studio in Johnstone, having moved there in 2024, when their old home, The Workshop in Paisley, closed its doors.
Despite being separate, independent businesses, they love being part of a shared workspace, where they can show their work together, share ideas & consume copious amounts of coffee.

Nicole Arthur – NM47

Nicole Graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2014 with a BA(hons) in Silversmithing and Jewellery Design. It took 4 years of making jewellery as a hobby for her to decide she wanted a full time jewellery career, creating NM47 in 2018.
Nicole creates jewellery that reflects the raw beauty of nature, crafted with sustainability at its core. Using recycled precious metals – gold and silver – each piece is designed to capture the organic textures and forms found in nature. Every hammer mark and textured surface tells a story, celebrating the imperfections and uniqueness found in the natural world.

Lisa Crockard – Lisa Crockard Jewellery

After taking a jewellery making evening class run by a friend in London, Lisa realised her day job just wasn’t what she wanted to do for the rest of her career. So in 2014 she resigned from retail buying, applied for an HND Jewellery course back in Glasgow, and hasn’t looked back since.
Lisa aims to create little luxuries for everyday where she relishes in the process of making & strives to craft beautifully textured pieces. Simple & geometric in form & stylised in design, jewellery that lets the techniques & materials used shine through. Whether that’s the decorative process of keum boo, handcrafted textures, or the beauty of perfectly set gemstones.

Jennifer Tsang – Jennifer Tsang Jewellery

Jennifer graduated from Duncan of Jordonstone College of Art & Design with a degree in Jewellery & Metal Design in 2011. After a few years working in the sales side of the jewellery & watch industry, she decided to make the leap into setting up her own jewellery business in 2016.
Initially setting up a workbench at home, she then moved into a creative work space joining 4 other jewellers in 2019.
Jennifer’s collections reflect her love for structural forms and geometric shapes. The use of different textures allow her to give depth and tangibility to her pieces, creating jewellery that can be worn everyday with a minimalist style.
